Forming part of a previously private country estate, School House is set within twenty acres of pasture, paddock, stabling and woodlands. The grounds and the setting were spectacular but the underwhelming 1970’s brick house let the property down.

Our brief was to completely reimagine and transform the property. Included in the works was to demolish an existing Bungalow structure and replace with a fantastic new Oak framed Barn structure. The inside of the house was completely reconfigured, and upgrading including adding insulation, replacement Scandinavian composite windows, re-wiring, and the installation of underfloor heating powered by ground source heat pumps. The roof was further insulated and tiles replaced in a mixture of slate and hand made clay tiles. The existing grotty brickwork was re-clad with a mixture of sharp through colour render and dark stained timber cladding. The result of which has completely transformed the existing property.

A Full Architectural and interior design package was provided including all design drawings, 3d Visualisation, specification and tender package.
